Helena Ylänen is one of the most well-known film critics in Finland. This list isn't really Ylänen's personal top-100 list, but it contains 100 best films (chosen by Ylänen herself) that she reviewed in finnish newspaper Helsingin sanomat between 1977 and 2004. Films are in rank order.

And in addition, there are also ten films (ranks 101-110) on the list which Ylänen didn't care for that much. They're in chronological order.

Helena Ylänen's filmchoices along with their original reviews were released in the book Sata parasta elokuvaa (ja kymmenen kehnoa kaupan päälle) (freely translated: 100 Best Films (and 10 bad ones on the side)) published in 2005.
