100 Years, 100 Moving Pictures (By Vote+)

Couldn't think of a more clever title for this one. Nevertheless, it's an important genre as the 8-year-old in me never thought he'd live long enough to see the day when animation is so popularized. It never ceases to astound me that I currently live in a day and age where animated films are released almost 20 movies--per year!

THE RULES:

Y'all know how it works, everyone gets to choose 10 movies. Your #1 pick gets 10 point while your #10 pick gets 1 point.

Here's the kicker--there are NO SET LIMITS on how many times you may play, or pick the same films when you do. This idea is to generation traffic on the list, consistently year round.

THE SPECIFICATIONS:

As I may have already stated, this list is exclusive to those delightful feature-length animated movies, that today parents generally use to drop their kids off to and shut them up for at least 2 hours (give mum 'n' dad a break.) However, there's little doubt, animation can sometimes be a sophisticated form of artistic expression (how not every great animated picture is associated with Pixar) so I thought I would give folks a chance to speak their mind.

Back when I was a kid. We were extremely lucky if we got even ONE animated movie all year round. These were considered special events and usually turned out to be well worth the wait, as there was no market for this genre yet so it stands to reason animators and studio execs would pour their heart and soul into a once-a-year event, to bring kids like me, truly something majestic...

THE REASONS:

My reasons for making this list are simple:

1) I'm a *cough cough* 30-something bachelor, so you tell--what else do I have to live for?
2) I'm also got health issues, and quirky stuff like this makes my condition tolerable.
and 3) Gives me ideas for 'movie night' and gives the public the chance to express an opinion.
