To Slow but yet touching love story which really shows how one must keep his vaules & promesses well. Beware of what you ask from GOD...He might hear you...

Honestly, it is a rather obscure feature so I wasn’t sure what to expect from it but since I always had a weak spot for Neil Jordan’s work, I was quite eager to check it out. On a rainy London night in 1946, novelist Maurice Bendrix (Ralph Fiennes) has a chance meeting with Henry Miles (Stephen Rea), husband of his ex-mistress Sarah (Julianne Moore), who abruptly ended their affair two years before. As Bendrix's obsession with Sarah is rekindled, he succumbs to his own jealousy and arranges to have her followed.
