*I have been wanting to see this forever as it made way for the kind of life I would live.
*I waited to see it only so I could see it with my wife who is from Ethiopia.
*I felt it would be a good story for us to watch together as it lead the way to make it possible for us to be together.

" Director: Jeff Nichols His 5th movie My 3rd movie watched from the director This is a beautiful story and the performances are outstanding. The actors tell us so much without words. It's the best put-together movie I've seen from Nichols, a director I come back to but am never really sure why he is acclaimed. He's a very dry filmmaker. I'm thankful for him making this movie and getting their important story out, putting yet another small piece to the overall story and puzzle of the U.S."

" DVD- 2hrs. 3min. First Viewing Loving is a mostly touching ode to the Lovings and love itself, though it's so damn underplayed that some of the moments that should hit hard just sit there. The leads are superb; Edgerton and Negga are so natural and nuanced that their performances should be taught in acting classes. Had the film added just a dash of melodrama, only a little, then it probably would've been a stronger film. Monthly Wesley AwardBest Actor- Joel Edgerton"
"Joel Edgerton and Ruth Negga as Richard and Mildred Loving (an interaccial couple who made history when their fight for the state of Virginia to recognize their interracial marriage made it all the way to the Supreme Court in 1967) "
