Now a UK landscape photographer, she was everywhere in the early 90's. Madonna desperately tried to copy her by wearing this stunning Bob Mackie dress to the 1991 Oscars when she accompanied Michael Jackson. But as usual, Madonna just couldn't measure up to the precedent of the original; in this case Rachel Williams.

Models were really MUCH more feminine looking about fifteen years ago! In mostly chronological order, ten tens who ruled the Clinton era! I remember them all from voracious high school magazine reading and the first Victoria Secrets catalogs. Apart from Anna Nicole and Ashley Montana Richardson, all are 100% natural.

How could you rate Anna Nicole Smith higher than Claudia Schiffer? I'll take real Teutonic beauty over that heady mixture of silicone and crazy.

There is no real order. Do note that if you were there at the time, there was NO ONE like Anna Nicole when she appeared. Even when we found out she had implants, all my high school friends and I still thought she was way cool, because she serious hips, was a true Amazon and until she became consumed with tabloid lifestyles she looked like her life was non stop sex and fun. Schiffer utilized a lot of camera magic to make her seem much bigger busted then she actually was during her Guess campaign heyday as did Cindy Crawford and the other supermodels who seemed much colder to me than ANS. In reality Schiffer is very thin (she is a top model after all!) and modestly endowed. I actually only included her because she was slightly heavier during the Guess campaign which made her look more voluptuous.

*sigh* I miss the early 90's. Those were the days when female models really looked like women and not like stick with boobs.

Hi Rocket scientist: No, most models are not hourglasses (not even the above) because photographers and fashion editors need the longest line possible and a tiny waist and fuller hips breaks up the long torso effect. The camera adds weight to even the gauntest figure and face. With photoshop and doctored measurements (like Gisele's) they can give the impression but not in reality.
