Some of the other Wonder Woman lists are strange, it's as if some of my fellow Listalers never read the comic book and simply think anyone who has been in Buffy The vampire Slayer should play Diana Prince-WRONG. They can't cast it because of the all mighty presence of the ultimate Hollywood body: LYNDA CARTER. But if they do-THESE are the woman who could do it give or take some blue contacts, dark brown weave and a few months of moderate weight lifting.
What you have to have:

1. Full D cup (old school D cup) minimum, tiny waist and wide hips aka TALL hourglass figure

2. At least 5'8

3. Powerful and unique style and persona (no cookie cutter types)

I heard a lot about Beyonce being casted to play Wonder Woman.
I think it´s a good choice. I don´t know her measurements, but she´s surely pearshaped or guitar shaped

They've cast EVERYONE but Pee wee Herman by this point. Beyonce would not work as Wonder Woman in my opinion as Wonder Woman should always be Mediterranean looking woman as she's from Greece being a Greek Amazon. It has nothing to do with Beyonce being African American. Jennifer Beals who is half African American, could have done WW if she'd had the body because she looks Mediterranean. Lynda Carter is half Mexican and she personifies Wonder Woman, its not a race issue. Black Vulcan can't be a white Swedish guy and Thor can't be played a by a skinny red head!

Why do you think she'd work?

But Christina Hendricks doesn't really look Mediterranean, and not just because she's pale.

Good point! With darker hair and a tan she could look like she was from the South of France or Northern Italy though. The body is really primary. I honestly think Lynda Carter owns the role for all eternity!!

I suppose so.

And totally agree about Lynda Carter! She IS Wonder Woman.
Posted: 6 years, 11 months ago at Jun 14 22:06
I know. Her grace and her way of being heart stopping sexy without ever being cheap or sexed up. She carries herself like the character and always will. She still has all her costumes too!

Look at Helen Ganzarolli http://img205.imageshack.us/img205/43/helenganzarollizv3.jpg
She just reminds me a lot of the drawing, but, unfortunately, she is as dumb as a door and I highly doubt she could act at all.

hahaha! You are so funny. Great pic. I've never heard of her, cheers!

Another good list!

Christina Hendrick's is the real life version of Jessica Rabbit I think, the red hair and everything, just love her shape.

I read that Jennifer Love Hewitt is really trying to be cast as Wonder Woman.

What about Emily Deschanel? She fits the bill and even dressed up as Wonder Woman for a Halloween episode of Bones:

I love her and that show! Emily Deschanel is too slight of build and petite to play a busty, hip to waist ratio ultra powerful Amazon. She could play almost anything else though.

I know the character and you're right, not every actress could play Wonder Woman :) I know that Jessica Biel was auditioned for the role and I think she would've been be a good choice :) She has French,German,English and Native American heritage so she's not a "typical" American girl. But that's just my opinion ^^

Beil is not powerful enough (just a tad too short) for me and she's not busty enough but out of all the mainstream Wheldonesque choices, you are 100% correct she's probably the best one. I would go see it!

I agree with your list description completely. Great list too, just don't think Uma has the face for WW, def the body tho. Alot of great discussion here, nice to see people actually putting thought into it.

Agreed, it is a beloved role to many. When the film is finally made it will be quite a vision I'm sure!

Why Lara Stone? I thought you said she's not an hourglass? Then why choosing her to be Lynda Carter's successor?

Btw I doubt that Uma Thurman has a D-cup (that's one requirement you wrote that a woman should have to fill in the Wonder Woman's shoes - and costumes), although I do think she kicks ass!!! Had I not seen her in Kill Bill, I wouldn't even dream of choosing her to be in this list of Wonder Woman-wannabe roster.

Btw merry Xmas everyone....!!!!!

p.s Don't you think you're a little bit too focused on the woman's bodies instead of what supposed to be the most important thing, which is their TALENT and ACTING SKILL? As much as you love Kelly Brook and Lara Stone, perhaps you should ask this to yourself... CAN THEY ACT??? Lara Stone is not an actress, she's a model, and Kelly Brook... well, she's no Meryl Streep for sure. (I've watched Piranha 3D - OMG she sucks!!!! Any producers/directors who dare to hand her any movie scripts should be sentenced to death. The girl can't act even to save her own life.)

Now I understand that you probably just want to use the right woman with the right physique for the role and I applaud you for thinking outside your box, not to mention the fact that you use healthy non-stick thin figures. However we should also remember that Wonder Woman, is foremost, a character brought from comic to TV. And when I see someone play Wonder Woman, I wanna see an actress that not only portrays the character physically but wholly with her acting and passion.

Remember Brandon Routh from the Superman? Yeah, me neither. The producers of the show cast him mostly because he resembles Christopher Reeve who 1st created the role on film. But then what happened? Apparently, Routh's resemblance is all that he had and unfortunately, it did nothing for the movie. He lacked the charm, charisma, and most importantly, the ACTING SKILL, needed to bring the character into life. The movie bombed at the box-office and people had never of him ever since.

Now tell me, do you also want Wonder Woman to be like that as well? A woman so physically perfect for the role, but without the talent to back up her looks? I for sure don't!

Anyway, don't take this too seriously. I'm not trying to attack you or to criticize your choice of female actresses above. I'm just simply stating my opinion. Even Christina Hendricks herself, the woman you choose to sit on the throne, once said that the media is too focused on women's bodies and not their actual talents, "I was working my butt off on the show [Mad Men] and then all anyone was talking about was my body." - Exactly!

I just caught it. The character needs to resemble the original wonder Woman comic:

Uma Thurman definitely is busty enough, she just nearly always plays it down:

Yes I agree. It's great to have someone so similar looking with the actual character, but I think what's more important is the ability to breathe life into the character so it would look believable to us. Kelly Brook may have a great body for Wonder Woman, but I doubt she can act convincingly even if she has a gun point at her head. Don't get me wrong, I like that girl. But the truth is : she can't act.

So I'd rather have someone who is physically flawed but with flawless acting skill as opposed as the other way around. Sorry Amanda, I know that you're only choosing these girls based on their physical aspects alone but if we want to make a legitimate casting, then we should look at the overall package. If we want to judge an actor, it shouldn't only be about the looks alone. As a matter of fact, I tend to put more emphasis on the acting skill and emotional depth.

Meryl Streep may be the last person on earth anyone would choose to play Wonder Woman, but with her acting skill, heck she can play Batman if she wants to. This is not to say that I think Meryl Streep is the best option against all the ladies here in this list. I just want to point out that sometimes you don't need the right physique to create the right character. See where I'm going? =)

Anyway please don't take this seriously. I just want to show you that not everyone is so obsessed about the looks. Sometimes it's a lot more skin deep than that.

Christina Hendricks would be perfect for Wonder Woman. Shes got the perfect breasts for Her as well.

Great choices Amanda...except Uma Thurman!
You rock girl!!!
I would only add you..that costume will be perfectably suitable for your body!

Nice list. I would say Hendricks has the physique but I am super partial to Sofia Vergara as Wonder Woman only because she is a favorite of mine. Back in the day Lucy Lawless would have been perfect as well.
