Take a second look. At first only a few of these models may look "thin" because the majority of the public has been conditioned by the media to think of "thin" only when they see someone unhealthy and underweight like Kate Moss or Rachel Zoe. Yet, these are all very svelete and sleek women. Thin and trim can be very healthy as these models all prove. These models are not size zero/zero waifs nor are these models plus size. No emaciated towering Haute Couture models with skeleton-like knock knees here either. These are well respected models who's physiques show that thin can be fit.

Look, I think Doutzen Kroes looks healthier than most models too:

and she's looking even better now, after having her cute little girl

but I'm not sure about the choise of Katie Green. Even tough she is a model, she doesn't really work on the high fashions events and stuff like that, where the need for a really thin body is bigger. It doesn't seem to me that she fits the purposal of this list.

Miranda Kerr is known for her healthy lifestyle choices (yoga, vegetarian diet etc.)

I think people are too hard on fashion models. They are always being called too fat or too thin. Of course anorexia is a problem in the fashion industry, but I think many models simply look that way naturally, or at least not with too much effort. I have known people who look very underweight even though they eat well because that's just the way their metabolism is.

Isis: god call on Katie Green. Agreed, she's not high fashion as much as I like her.

It's true. Agreed, many of my friends are naturally thin. It's actually very healthy, perhaps the most healthy body type of all as you seem to live the longest, as long as you are careful with bone density.

I have to rethink Miranda Kerr. I thought she was underweight but you may be correct that she's just tall.

I agree with Blue Pineapple. I know there's a lot of health problems in the industry, but I feel like most of the famous and well suceeded models are pretty healthy.

Look at Natalia Vodianova. She is extremely thin. But she looked that thin again one day after having her third child. Or Alessandra Ambrosio, who went to a VS Fashion Show looking really good four months after giving birth. I don't know, I just think the big models are pretty healthy, even if sometimes they look like they could use some hamburguers or that they are going to break sooner or later. I have this feeling about Miranda Kerr, even tough I know that's her naturally.

But about being healthy and LOOKING healthy: Kim Cloutier is gorgeous! http://www.listal.com/viewimage/1006694 http://www.listal.com/viewimage/1006657 http://www.listal.com/viewimage/864973

I'm a bisexual guy and I would choose a male model over a female model in a heartbeat

Great list!
It's a shame that Karolina Kurkova doesn't look like that anymore. She's lost heaps of weight recently: http://www.skinnyvscurvy.com/then-and-now/karolina-kurkovas-weight-loss.html

I really hope she'll regain the weight at some point, she looked so gorgeous and healthy before the loss.

I somewhere read that 75% of fashion models are anorexic.
Many of them if not most are very young that is why they have fast metabolism (imo).

I always thought that Miranda Kerr is over thin but you should see her now!!!
She looks so gorgeous and healthy after having her little boy Flynn :)
You really should add her.

I like your list and agree with you on all of the models you picked. What the media doesn't understand is that most men don't like emaciated women. Thicker, healthier looking women are definitely more attractive.

Posted: 5 years, 4 months ago at May 28 22:52
ummm fashion models? some of this "fashion" models son't have slightest bit of class and i don't care how healthy or unhealthy they are.
Posted: 5 years, 4 months ago at May 29 14:03
Yeah Natalia because fashion models are supposed to set standards of class....THEY ARE MODELS-THAT'S IT!

hahaha...yes, healthy models! I've always hated that emaciated look that the fashion industry somehow thinks is attractive. I love a woman with curves. Skinny does not mean healthy, does it? =)

Adriana Lima!?!:( But otherwise perfect! Love Laetitia! And Adriana is a 4 and perfect. :)

@Diverdown87 As a bisexual female, I can say that bi/lesbian women also typically find healthier women more attractive, however I would never limit myself to one body type. For instance, I find Kiera Knightely very attractive, though she is extremely thin, but I am also attracted to the healthy models on this list. I would think that a lot men feel the same.

@SuperAmanda Great list though! I already voted, otherwise I would vote for it haha

I love the list and idea. I'd suggest Miranda Kerr and Alessandra Ambrosio. They are both thin, but very toned and healthy. So is Gisele Bundchen, who I think would make a great edition to the list!
