The t rouble with Harry

The more i see that movie the more i like it for the slow development of the plot and the dark side of simple country folks being exposed. Great acting from "Beaver" / Jerry Mathers. Great acting too from early Shirley Maclaine.

A good movie

Since I am a huge fan of Alfred Hitchcock, I was really eager to check this out. Eventually, I must admit it, I was slightly disappointed. I mean, it was pretty good and I quite enjoyed it but, compared to his numerous masterpieces, it remained far behind. At least, it was one of his very few comedies and there were indeed a few funny moments. At first, when the young boy finds the body, you get a... read more

When a local man's corpse appears on a nearby hillside, no one is quite sure what happened to him. Many of the town's residents secretly wonder if they are responsible, including the man's ex-wife, Jennifer (Shirley MacLaine), and Capt. Albert Wiles (Edmund Gwenn), a retired seaman who was hunting in the woods where the body was found. As the no-nonsense sheriff (Royal Dano) gets involved and local artist Sam Marlowe (John Forsythe) offers his help, the community slowly unravels the mystery.

Movies the giraffe watched in 2017: July (33 movies items)

"First viewing - July 15th Very close 2nd place film for July This one seems to be underappreciated, which is a shame because it works beautifully. The Trouble With Harry proves that Hitch could do comedy as well as he does suspense, so it’s surprising the film didn’t lead to more comedies from him. Or at least it surprised me until I found that initially the film tanked in America & did better in Europe. The ensemble cast is perfect and I found myself laughing often throughout the run-time."
