1. I find some Box Office Flops to be mostly just mindless fun.
2. I mean Vin Diesel though...Badass!
3. My love Rose Leslie oh how I enjoy seeing you grace my screen.
4. Her presence makes me even more excited to watch this.
5. Elijah Wood, Michael Caine, and Joseph Gilgun enough said!
6. Sure Sahara wasn't good, but Breck Eisner... read more

" First Viewing Viewing Date: August 11th Via: Stan. Plot: The last witch hunter is all that stands between humanity and the combined forces of the most horrifying witches in history. Rating: 5.7/10"

" Suggested by TrekMedic The Cliffhanger: Vin Diesel's ego couldn't simply be contained within the Fast & Furious franchise, so it spilled out into this witch-hunting blockbuster that audiences didn't really care about - let alone actually like. It ends with Diesel, his ego, and Token Female teaming up to go on many more adventures, signalling the intended start of a new franchise. What Happened? The usual stuff. Box office failure, it lost money, and critics and audiences couldn't muster up muc"

" While predictable at times, it still accomplished what it set out to do. Immortal witch hunter, badass scary witches and a secret church order. If you're into stuff like this, you can overlook the little things that keep it from being a cinematic masterpiece."

“How do you take top-tier action-movie actors like Vin Diesel, mix them with other reliable box-office favorite actors (Elijah Wood and Rose Leslie, fresh off her star turn in Game Of Thrones) and a smattering of box-office greats like Michael Caine and NOT have a winner on your hands? This had the look and feel of a guaranteed profitable franchise! What went wrong? Too much CGI, Vin Diesel's one-note performance, sub-plots going nowhere,...and the final chapter/plot wrap-up pretty much killed it for me. Makes you wonder if the production team realized this wasn't the hit they wanted and re-wrote the end to cut their losses?” read more

“To be honest, I wasn't expecting much from this flick but since there was a decent cast involved, I thought I might as well check it out. First of all, it is not very often that you get to see Vin Diesel in something really new since he nowadays he only shows up in some sequels. Anyway, even though the guy was supposed to become the biggest action star in the world at the beginning of his career, he actually never fulfilled these expectations and he has always been a rather limited and boring actor. This movie was a perfect example. Indeed, Diesel was supposed to play a character who was cursed, an immortal who had lived already more than 800 years and, yet, he played this character without showing any mark of inner struggle whatsoever as if Dominic Toretto showed up on the wrong movie set” read more

"Personally, I thought this would've been better as a pilot for a "Buffy the Vampire Slayer"-style series... minus Vin Diesel."
