Movies I Think Should Be Adapted into TV Series

I'm picturing a series on Comedy Central about the daily antics of some of the worst wannabe superhero sidekicks. Haphazardly taking on the city's petty criminals and equally ridiculous villains. For example, maybe one of the villains is a meter maid. Or a man from the IRS. Or a department store Santa Claus.
Considered one of the worst movies of all time, but I see potential here as a series. Imagine a gritty drama set in the 70's. A young woman with aspirations to be a professional dancer travels to Las Vegas to audition to be a showgirl, but doesn't get in. The only other dancing gig she's able to find is for a gentlemen's club that just happens to be called "Showgirls". Here she gets pulled into a world of sex, drugs, and the criminal organizations that run parts of Las Vegas; providing distractions and detours from her initial goals.
Mr. Brooks (2007)
With Dexter gone, how about a new series involving a serial killer?
In the movie, Earl Brooks is a wealthy family man with a successful career and a deep dark secret. He has an alter ego who loves murder and mayhem. He frequently attends addiction meetings to keep that side of him under control. Spoiler: We also discover that his daughter has inherited his bloodlust.
For a series, what if Earl Brooks is in college and his murderous ways have just started? Going to class, hanging out with friends, dating, holding down a part-time job, all while butchering people and avoiding suspicions and the cops. We already know that, in the future, his daughter will inherit his behaviors; but maybe this killer gene runs deeper. Maybe one of his parents and/or grandparents were also killers. I think that could be interesting.

Teen Witch (1989)
I think MTV missed out on the opportunity to jump on the shared universe bandwagon and expand their Teen Wolf series by adapting another 80's supernatural comedy. I could see this getting the same tonal change that was given to Teen Wolf.
Neighbors (2014)
I could see this as a sitcom. The daily struggles of living next door to a fraternity.
Personally, I thought this would've been better as a pilot for a "Buffy the Vampire Slayer"-style series... minus Vin Diesel.
The Stepford Wives (2004)
Picture a quirky & twisted Desperate Housewives with an element of science fiction.
Mr. Mom (1983)
This could be a sitcom in the vein of Everybody Loves Raymond. If husband and wife were forced to switch those old-fashioned gender roles in the household.
Disturbia (2007)
What if the suspicious new neighbor was just the tip of the iceberg in the seemingly normal suburban cul-de-sac? A series could explore all of the dark corners of the neighborhood, of course, from the viewpoint of a high school student and his friends.
Drop Dead Fred (1991)
Just imagine a girl having to deal with all of the drama of high school, and then all of a sudden her childhood imaginary friend returns making things more complicated. Getting her into trouble everywhere she goes, and making everyone around her think she's crazy because she's talking, yelling, or reacting to someone or something that isn't really there... or is he? I think it'd be great if they made us question that ourselves.
Soapdish (1991)
A comedy that melodramatizes the behind-the-scenes lives of those involved in the world of daytime soap operas.
The Amityville Horror (1979)
Picture the 1st season of American Horror Story with multiple storylines interwoven together except it wouldn't be an anthology series and season 2 would be a continuation of whatever happened in the first.
The Godfather (1972)
If the world in "The Godfather" was adapted and expanded into a series, I think that; if done right, it has the potential to be bigger than "The Sopranos".
In a futuristic world where the government is worried about population control. One high school class is selected for Battle Royale; a program in which a group of teenagers are dropped off on an island and forced to kill each other. This could make for an interesting and violent action/thriller series.
Rat Race (2001)
A comedy about a random group of people who race across the world in search of a hidden fortune. Add some cryptic clues, various obstacles, people looking to join the race, and others trying to eliminate the competition and you might have yourself a series.
Copycat (1995)
I think this could make for a dark investigative series following a homicide detective, and her partner, and an agoraphobic criminal psychologist; as they try to identify and capture/kill the perpetrator/s before anyone else dies.
For a series, they could really draw things out. Maybe it takes them a while to realize that they're dealing with one person. Maybe the killer is a lot more smarter and meticulous leaving misleading clues. Maybe he/she occasionally targets someone close to them; or targets them to toy with them. Makes them believe that they'll never figure it out or catch them.

The First Wives Club (1996)
Imagine a dramatic comedy series involving the daily back and forth retaliations between former husbands and wives especially when they're dealing with recent divorces. The legal processes like prenuptials, the dividing of assets, alimony, and child support/custody. Add to that them knowing or discovering that the husbands have all been having their affairs. They could also touch on the more serious side of things, like physical/emotional abuse, depression and suicide.
I'm picturing something along the lines of "Medium" and "Ghost Whisperer" except darker, grittier, and much more sinister in nature.
A series about people trying to survive/exist in a world that's been invaded by giant alien lifeforms/monsters. Like the movie, the series would focus more on human nature than it would on interactions with the monsters; but of course there'd still be the occasional encounter with monsters.
Stay Tuned (1992)
It would be a comedy series.
I guess the best way to describe how a series based on this movie would work is to think of "Quantum Leap" except instead of traveling between different timelines, a husband and wife find themselves trapped in an inner-dimension of television programming and each episode would be them entering a different TV genre/series and fighting to find their way to the exit and back home to their children. There'd be an antagonist who chases after them, the man who brought them here to begin with.

Hannibal, Bates Motel, Scream, Teen Wolf, and The Exorcist are all recent examples of some television series that are based on movies. So, I came up with a list of other movies that I thought could make for great TV series, if done right.
