A good movie

I remember very well when this movie came out in France. Indeed, before its release, there was quite some buzz. Since 'Delicatessen', the previous movie directed by Caro & Jeunet turned out to be a huge cult-classic in my home country, the expectations were really high concerning their follow-up, especially since it was the most expensive French movie ever made at the time if I recall it corre... read more

The evil Krank and his henchmen have been made by a mad scientist. Krank's problem is that he is tormented by his inability to dream. He finds it necessary to try to steal the dreams of children, but since they fear him, he only gets their nightmares. When a circus strongman's little brother is kidnapped, the strongman (One) tracks him down and, with the help of some other eccentric characters, tries to put an end to the evil reign of Krank and his Cyclops army

2018: Films I've Watched in February (24 movies items)

"First Watched 2/28/2018 Visually and creatively this film is very impressive and stunning however, you will probably need a guide to read through once it is done because I for the life of me was genuinely lost throughout this film wondering what is going on! I mean I was able to gather what was going on to an extent and I am a fan of visual story telling as opposed to exposition filled lines but man I feel like several lines could have been edited to at least provide a little bit of contex"

Movie Reviews (1301-1350) (50 movies items)

" One of my favorite fantasy movies and one of the most magical. The movie stole my heart when I saw it the first time and I still find it captivating with great ideas, beautiful images and absurd characters. Marianne Faithful's song at the end is the final drop that makes this one of my favorite French movies in the genre. It also is not afraid of blending darkness with strange humor. I would love to see more from this universe."

A good movie

“I remember very well when this movie came out in France. Indeed, before its release, there was quite some buzz. Since 'Delicatessen', the previous movie directed by Caro & Jeunet turned out to be a huge cult-classic in my home country, the expectations were really high concerning their follow-up, especially since it was the most expensive French movie ever made at the time if I recall it correctly. Anyway, I even went to see in the movie theater when it was released but, to be honest, I actually ended up with some mixed feelings about the damned thing. Sure, it was visually impressive, no doubt at about it, but there was something that slightly bothered me with this tale.  I mean, it was  fairly entertaining but, somehow, I had a rather hard time to care for these characters and what” read more
