“To be honest, I wasn’t really sure what to expect from this flick but since I have a weak spot for Alicia Vikander, I thought I might as well check it out. In fact, a couple of weeks ago, I saw ‘1917’ which must have been the most heralded movie about this conflict released during the last 2 decades, if not more. Well, even this movie didn’t make so many waves, it also gave an interesting look on this war and, above all, on the traumatic impact it had on a whole generation of British young people, not only the soldiers, but also all the young girls that were left behind. So, it was indeed interesting but, to be honest, it never became really spellbinding though. I guess it mostly had to do with the characters.
