To be honest, I wasn’t really sure what to expect from this flick, it was apparently a flop when it was released but, since it was starring Nicolas Cage and since it was available on Netflix, I thought I might as well check it out. “To be honest, I wasn’t really sure what to expect from this flick, it was apparently a flop when it was released but, since it was starring Nicolas Cage and since it was available on Netflix, I thought I might as well check it out. Well, I do think that the concept definitely had some potential. Above all, Nicolas Cage was just completely gangbusters playing the iconic character who was obviously on his bucket list. Seriously, the guy was just hilarious. So, you might think that this movie might be frustrating since he wasn’t the main character but I think it was a neat idea to focus on his assistant/servant/henchman/familiar/whatever. I also liked the idea that Renfield was seriously depressed and going to therapy sessions involving victims of abusive relationships, it was a pretty co” read more
