I hold this movie close to my heart. The sheer mix of comdey, wit and drama is on sync with what it should be.
The casting for this movie is absolutely A+, ESPECIALLY Marilyn Manson as Christina. Also memorable performances by Seth Green and Macaulay Culkin (of course). It also struck me as hilarious that Wilmer Valderrama did Keoki's role.

Camp can be wildly entertaining when utilized effectively, but Party Monster turns camp affectation into lurid displays of violence and becomes a case of too much growing tedious. Itโs all crazy pageantry of costumes, trying to establish a style and relish in it, and offering not much of substance to chew on about a real-life case that was fascinating, and a scene that was even more interesting.... read more
Description:
Set in the New York club scene of the late 1980's thru the 1990's, a tale which chronicles the rise and fall of club-kid promoter Michael Alig, a party organizer, whose extravagant life was sent spiralling downward when he boasted on television that he had killed his friend, roommate, and drug dealer, Angel Melendez. " Date: 9/21/2020 Viewed: IMDB TV Re-Watch Note: I haven't seen this movie since I was 13 when it came out on DVD and I remember the major buzz that this movie had when it was released. I still remember being surprised to see Macaulay Culkin is in a trashy R rated movie because I was so used to him being in movies such as Home Lone 1-2 (1990-1991). This movie is a biopic about the infamous New York City party promoter Michael Alig and most of the real-life events happen before I was born. I did"
