While it certainly looked interesting, the story unfortunately uses a lot of words to say nothing new.

I'm voting 2/10 because of Redford's direction of Meryl Streep and Tom Cruise; I found their characters very believable and found the casting perfect. Cruise as the senator looks like a smart a$$ (pardon the expression) and Streep is perfect as the journalist.

Lions for Lambs marks the first feature from the now Tom Cruise owned company of United Artists. Despite its poor box office profit and heavy pasting, I found the movie to actually be quite decent.

I have noticed that this movie has a rather lousy reputation but I thought it was actually pretty good. First of all, even though Robert Redford did manage to with the Best Picture Academy Award with ‘Ordinary People’, the guy never managed to become a major director but I always a had a weak spot for the movies he has directed.
