Here's the thing about Jim Carrey- he can deliver a serious and heartfelt performance when you can rein him in and make him sit still for an hour and a half. He's like that ADHD-slash-spastic kid you knew in grammar school who ran laps around the class room to the chagrin of an obese, middle-aged teacher who thought in despair- I am NOT being paid enough for this.

Liar Liar is in my top 3 favorite comedies of all time and my favorite Jim Carrey flick! He was just so awesome and hilarious in Liar Liar! Not only did he do mental comedy, but physical comedy that will make your stomach hurt from laughing so much! " With The Cable Guy, being released the previous year and not doing all that well, Jim Carrey needed a hir movie. Not that his career, was faulting or anything. Liar Liar, was the movie that marked Carrey’s move from his previous goofy movies, to less goofy, and more centred films. He plays lawyer, who makes a bet that for the next few days, he could not lie, which easier said than done. Film goers loved the movie, and critics enjoyed it, too."
