I really liked it, especially the beginning and the ending of the movie. I liked it better than the first, found it more interesting and entertaining overall, but I cannot rate this movie without taking into account the first one. While the first movie works out as a standalone work, one cannot understand and truly appreciate the second movie without watching the first one... first.

I already saw this movie but since it was a while back and since I had it on DVD, I was quite eager to check it out again. I have to admit it, I hoped they would manage to bring back somehow the Major since she is so emblematic to this franchise. My biggest disappointments in entertainment (139 tv items)

"The original Ghost in the Shell is my favourite anime movie. This sequel is nowhere near its level, the dialogue is the most pretentious I'd heard (well, read) in anime until now and the storyline is pretty weak. I was completely bored while watching this movie and the only thing I liked about it was its soundtrack. To this day I didn't find a bigger letdown. "
