Notes:*This is adapted off a play that Denzel Washington (with Viola Davis) was actually in so that's pretty awesome.
*The original play in the 1980s had James Earl Jones in the lead!
*This is the third film directed by Denzel Washington himself and the first one I will have seen the whole thing.

Fences is a triumph of acting and for bringing the great August Wilson onto a larger stage. Wilson’s dialog and poetic sense of drama shake the screen and thunder down on you. Honestly, I think Wilson is a little overrated. I don't think Denzel is too teathrical, I think the play is too classy even with its deep broken characters.
A working-class African-American father tries to raise his family in the 1950s, while coming to terms with the events of his life.
