For starters, Steve Carell is the only reason I watched this film, and its the perfect role in which he excels at - as a lovable down-on-his-luck good guy with great punch lines.

Love Steve Carell. Dane Cook continues to prove that the leap from standup to the silver screen is not working. Overall, it was good, but extremely awkward situations made me squirm in my theater seat. I definitely could have waited till video.

When I first heard about this movie, I thought it sounded really promising so I was quite eager to check it out. Indeed, it is always intriguing when a US production hires a great actress like Juliette Binoche. Eventually she was, as usual, really good here and it was very nice to see her doing something else. "First viewing - Sept. 26th When I was looking into the film above, I saw that its director also made Dan in Real Life and realized I had basically forgotten about its existence and was curious to see what it's like. I definitely preferred it over Timothy Green, thanks largely to the chemistry between Carell and Binoche. As with most of these rom coms it doesn't take a genius to figure out what will happen, but the journey was mostly worthwhile. I didn't love it, but I enjoyed it and would watch"
