We get it JLo, you are hot. You've been telling us for decades that you are the sexiest thing out there. The MET Gala is about fashion. It's about wearing something you wouldn't normally wear. It's about stepping out of your comfort zone and looking, I don't know, like you are attending a costume ball. Even worse, 3 of the biggest stars at the event wore nearly naked sheer gowns so it's not even a standout.
Let's get back to these days Jenn. Fashion is about what you have on. That blue dress is one of the sexiest things you've ever worn.

Kim has embraced the sheer trend so fully that it's hard to find a fashionable image of her in the last year. Seeing as how she's only famous for her assets I get it, but at the same time if you aren't standing out you might as well go back to what used to work for you.

I think she has forgotten how to tell the difference between dressing for the stage and dressing for the red carpet. Sheer has taken over every aspect of her fashion life. You are QUEEN B. You have always been a trend follower but now is the time. Start a new fad and lead the charge to women embracing fashion and not just doing whatever they need to do get their names in the headlines.

The worst part about this look is that you can see her nude underwear because the dress is sheer all the way. Now, Imogen is still new to the scene so I'll give her some time but let's hope to see less of that and more of this.

It's subdued and almost classy. If there was a sheer that I was going to love it would be this one. But I don't. It's a moment we've seen before and there is nothing new or even attention grabbing about it. It's just one more starlet hoping to garner publicity.
I miss this. Give me more of this Miley.

Part of me thinks she doesn't know how to dress her body. She doesn't have a defined waist and that can make it much harder to find something that looks good when fashion is made for models. She does the best when she looks comfortable and less sexy.

At the time the sheer trend was just starting to cross the line from sheerly sexy into verging on trashy and this look was too far over the line for me. Since this misstep she has gone back to the simpler classic lines she liked before. I want people to try new things, but that doesn't mean they always work.

I mostly feel like this dress speaks for itself. Rihanna is one that varies her look often. She doesn't really follow trends, she tries to subvert him. Here she so fully embraced sheer that she's pretty much naked. She often does over the top sex or glam. Hopefully she keeps having fun with fashion but stays away from sheer for a while. Here she is looking fabulous.

The sheer trend started small but has blossomed into a monster that makes all these curvy va-va-voom celebs look like they don't know how to wear real clothes anymore. Most of them just look like they glued beads and gemstones to their naughty bits and walked out of the house like that. I know it's supposed to be sexy, but when you all wear the same dress how are you having a moment.
This list isn't because I'm a prude, I just love all aspects of fashion and I'm so sick of this played out trend. I'm ready for lace and leather and silk to be the trends again. Not mesh with rhinestones.
