Favourite Sci-fi Movies (Chronological)

Another one of those sci-fi movies where the sci-fi aspects are almost an afterthought, existing solely to provide a platform to tell the gripping story. Fantastic acting throughout.

So much has been said about this movie, and said again, that there's not much I can add at this point.

Steven Spielberg definitely knows how to spin a sci-fi thriller. It's a classic detective thriller and the sci-fi constructs are used deftly to tell a story, without getting in the way.

The only movie in the new trilogy that Lucas did not totally ruin. He's not improved as a director as the years have gone on, quite the reverse.

Christopher Nolan stamps his class all over this Batman reboot. It's such a compulsively watchable movie, unlike the sequel 'The Dark Knight' which is pretty heavy going at times.
