CHARACTERS

Part of the
British Comedy Collection
Rising Damp is set in a run-down house where the rooms are let out to an assortment of characters. Rigsby is a somewhat seedy middle-aged man who has a keen eye for the ladies, especially Ruth Jones, one of the tenants. She isn't particularly interested in him, preferring to cast her eye on those who come and go from the house, or more particularly... Philip, a student who claims to be the son of an African chief. He shares a room with Alan, a laid-back medical student.
