"Format: Streaming Viewing: 1st Thoughts: I was eager to see this when it was first announced, it sounded like an edgier side of the Marvel Universe and a different approach than what we've seen thus far. But then again, I should have known better with the films target audience: teenagers. And as such this film owes more to recent horror films like It than it does to anything super hero related. I mean that's exactly what it is in tone and style, the super hero elements are just an after thought "

"First viewing - Jan. 16th Ah yes, the other much-maligned superhero film of 2020. I figured it made perfect sense to watch this right after WW84 ended, and I went into it with similarly low expectations. And it's fine. I didn't hate it like I'd feared. It helps that Anya Taylor-Joy is present as her acting skills are excellent as always & she seems to be having a blast with her role. It also helped me that I used to read The New Mutants back when it was around and thus knew more about the chara"
