" This is one of the most maligned Lovecraft adaptations ever laid to celluloid, mostly because it updates one of his classic stories to an (at the time) modern setting. As many others will point out, this is a very 70's feeling film indeed, and because of that, there isn't much of Lovecraft's original style left on the subject.
