“I wasn’t really sure what to expect from this flick but since I have a weak spot for Atom Egoyan’s work, I thought I might as well check it out. Well, it is usually considered as a low point in Egoyan’s career and, unfortunately, I’m afraid I will have to agree on this. Seriously, it has been a while since I have seen such a convoluted thriller. The first issue was that they went for a random chronology which is usually a rather useless gimmick to make a movie look edgier than it actually is. On top of that, there was just so much stuff that didn’t make much sense. For example, why would this pedophile ring would go through so much trouble just to spy this mother?
