" Hacker/arcade owner Kevin Flynn is digitally broken down into a data stream by a villainous software pirate known as Master Control and reconstituted into the internal, 3-D graphical world of computers. It is there, in the ultimate blazingly colorful, geometrically intense landscapes of cyberspace, that Flynn joins forces with Tron to outmaneuver the Master Control Program that holds them captive in the equivalent of a gigantic, infinitely challenging computer game. "Reason for the future sucking: Say, wouldn't it be great to be tapped in a computer game universe? Year it takes place: Some sort of year, in the grid."
"Pros: The state of the art effects, even if they feel date are still awesome. The computer world of Tron. David Warner as Sark. The soundtrack, featuring Wendy Carlos and Journey. Itâs a fun movie to watch. Jeff Bridges, and Bruce Boxleitner"

"The Game Grid The Grid is a vast part of the Tron system, programmed by Kevin Flynn. Often referred to by Flynn as his "digital frontier", the Grid was made to provide an experimental platform where all forms of research could be carried out at unparalleled speeds. Why you wouldnât want to visit: Itâs because not youâre trapped inside of a game, but you have to compete against others, or die trying."
Intriguing and ahead of its time
“I don't know about anybody else but I really quite like this movie. While I did love its concept, I do agree some parts are difficult to comprehend at times and at others there is a slow rhythm making the film not quite as compelling as it would have liked. Regardless, I still like TRON a lot, especially for the superb effects and visuals and unique sound effects, both assets of which are quite ahead of their time. Also the soundtrack is very memorable and fits perfectly, and even with the odd stilted moment the dialogue intrigues. The direction is good enough and serves its purpose well in the more action-packed moments, and I did like the characters and acting. Jeff Bridges is charming and likable with a cool character, while David Warner comes close to stealing the show. All in all, a v” read more
" First Viewing Viewing Date: September 18th Via: Disney+ Plot: A computer hacker is abducted into the digital world and forced to participate in gladiatorial games where his only chance of escape is with the help of a heroic security program. Rating: 6.8/10"
“Similar to Fritz Lang's Metropolis. This film is often criticized for it's illogical computer world where people are forced to fight each other like gladiators using energy weapons. Jeff Bridges plays the ne'er-do-well hero who finds himself in this fantasy world where he has to fight an evil A.I.. I think David Warner is a good villain. He plays both Sark (the main henchman) and the voice of the MCP (the evil A.I.). He is basically having conversations with himself in part of the movie. Actually, most of the actors are playing two versions of themselves, depending on which reality the hero happens to be in. (Maybe that's why some people don't like the story and find it confusing.) The actions scenes were quite novel for their time. I suppose whether you think they hold up” read more
"23.11. Mielenkiintoisen visuaalisen ilmeensä varaan rakennettu tietokoneasioiden inhimillistäminen on ideatasolla paljon toteutustaan kiinnostavampi tapaus. Ohjelmien ja mikropiirien hevonpaskamainen ihmismuotoon muuttaminen onnistuu paikoitellen hymyilyttämään, mutta valehtelisin, jos väittäisin nauraneeni jatkuvasti. Tietokonetyhmä on tavallaan läsnä, mutta elokuvan ongelmana on vähän samanlainen mitäänsanomattomuus kuin Flash Gordonissakin. Vauhtia ja hÜlmÜilyä kaivattaisiin"
