Well, after hearing so many great things about his work, I have to admit that I was actua... read more

It is set entirely in the modern environment and it offers only a few glimpses of older and simpler life. All the ultra-modern buildings presented in the film are made of steel and glass and they offer little privacy and, of course, lots of opportunities for creative gags. Tati found an especially funny metaphor for bur"

1001 Movies ... my own version (1960's) (90 movies items)

" Notes: Eventually, itā€™s something that took me a while to understand, the fact that Tatiā€™s movies are actually much deeper than your usual vintage silent comedies and it was eventually even more obvious with this movie. To be honest, Iā€™m hardly surprised that this movie was a commercial and critical flop when it was released. Indeed, there was definitely something unique about this movie and, if you have any understanding of movies in general, you canā€™t deny that it was the work of a t"
