" Notes: Even though I did like the damned thing, to be honest, it didn’t completely win me over though. Above all, in my opinion, the whole thing was rather messy. The best example would be the very first scene. Indeed, it felt as if they skipped something as none of the characters were properly introduced. I mean, who was Lulu? Where did she come from? How did she end up in this apartment? Who were all these guys trying to get her attention? After that, a lot of things did happen to her (she"

“I wasn’t really sure what to expect from this flick but since it seemed to have a decent reputation (it is included in the ‘1001 Movies You Must See Before You Die’ list, among other things), I was quite eager to check it out. " While I've always had an interest in movies from all eras, including those from the silent era, recently, for some inexplicable reason, I seem to have really developed a fascination for those works that were produced during the Age of Jazz. I think that if I were to take the time to delve into the reasons of why this attraction has been taking a more prominent role in my personal taste for cinema, it would take up more room than is typically required for a description box provided by this site"
"Here's a film that I hesitated before putting on this list because in order to help me decide which titles to put in my favorite foreign films list, I went with those mives from other conutries which also spoke in a foreign language. However, since Pandora's Box is from the silent era, it's "foreigness" might not be as evident. But I came to the conclusion that as a piece of cinema that is widely considered iconic with a cultural movement from the early stages of filmmaking, it's defintely worth"
" Date: 4/29/2021 Viewed: Criterion Re-watch Note: I haven't watched Pandora's Box since I was in High School and I remember liking it. After watching it again on the Criterion Channel, it holds up very well, Pandora's Box is a masterpiece in my opinion. I don't know where to begin with this movie because everything about it is fantastic. I love Louise Brooks as Lulu, and she is so lovely to watch on screen. Pandora's Box has the best pacing for a 2-hour movie because it goes by so quickly. Y"
