I thought this was going to be a cheesy kid movie. Don't get me wrong, I love Shrek, A Bug's Life, Toy Story, and the movies of Pixar and DreamWorks. It just seemed like this was an attempt to get a cutesy animal movie. This was pleasantly surprising (like PIxXeL said). It was more than entertaining, and I'm glad to have seen it...

A must see for all ages

This movie is really what surprised me these days. I just thought they don't make it like this anymore... Good, clean fun, lots of laugh, and overall feeling of something new when you watch it. This movie is a must see, no matter if you are (-2- - prelude76 is probably right) 6 years old kid or 72 years old grandpa/ma. This is hip.

While, at least for some time, Pixar was always focusing on making the highest quality of CGI animated features, not only from a technical point of view but also storywise, Dreamworks never had such ambitions as they produced more features than Pixar and always with an obvious commercial purpose.
