Since I kept hearing some really good things about this flick, I was really eager to check it out. On top of that, I have noticed that Werner Herzog had built up a pretty good reputation as a documentary maker so I had some rather high expectations concerning this fim. One of the best late Herzog's. Most of the material is Treadwell's but Herzog organization and explanation is ok. His decision of not showing the postumous recording of the death is compensated by its description.

" Notes: I have noticed that Werner Herzog had built up a pretty good reputation as a documentary maker so I had some rather high expectations concerning this fim. Eventually, I wasn’t disappointed and, in fact, it must be one of the weirdest documentaries I have ever seen. Indeed, the story it was based on was quite interesting but I believed that the movie about this tale was actually even more fascinating.
