Que belleza de película.
la fotografía es simplemente perfecta, al igual que la dirección de tarkovsky y la historia muy onírica pero a la vez tan sutil y personal, Hacen que la película sea de una belleza visual y auditiva.

nothing i can say would give this film enough credit. Andrei Tarkovsky is a poet, and he is a poet on film, the film is a bit confusing as some actors play 2 characters. the film is very personal and intimate. it is comprised of seemingly non related scenes depicting memories from childhood. Tarkovsky delivers some of the most striking cinematography i have ever seen, and i can easily say that the... read more

Well, I’m finally done with my Tarkovsky cycle (I still have to watch ‘Offret’ and ‘Nostalghia’ because they were unfortunately not included in my Blu-ray box set). To be honest, this journey has been just as fascinating as it was frustrating and I actually ended up somehow with arguably his most challenging movie. Can you imagine this? Watching the most difficult movie from the most dif... read more

Description: Andrei Tarkovsky's THE MIRROR (1974) is his most personal and artistically daring film. A semi-autobiographical work, it interweaves poems, dramatic scenes, dreams and newsreels to evoke the inner symbolic world of the protagonist, his nostalgia for the past and his troubled relationships with his wife and mother in the present. At the same time it is a meditation on the nature of Russia, from the nation's role as mediator between the East and West to specific historical events such as the Stalinist purges of the mid-to-late 1930s and World War II. ... 1001 Movies Chosen By Johanlefourbe (1001 movies items)

" Notes: Can you imagine this? Watching the most difficult movie from the most difficult director I know? The funny thing is that, with a running time of less than 2 hours, it was rather short, at least, for a Tarkovsky movie. Basically, the main difference with the other movies directed by the Russian master was that, even though they were all also extremely opaque and intricate, they were at least linked to some genre (WWII drama, medieval epic, Science-Fiction), even if Tarkovsky didn’t car"
