"First viewing - Oct. 14th New director apparently means good things, for the most part. The cast and story are solid, & it kept me engaged with it. Again there's a little too much reliance on CGI for the effects, but not quite as bad as the 4th film. I thought the ending was a really nice touch even though I'm not sure it tracked given the technology used throughout the rest of the film. "MY THIRD FAVORTIE OF THE BUNCH! A fantastic "prequel"; if you will, of the series. I wish they'd make more... especially now that its been 7+ yrs.... I always say the next two at least should be on a train (the 3rd involved a SUBWAY, doesn't count!) & a boat (TITANIC ALL OVER AGAIN, LOL) or something, Tony Todd makes em great too, so we need him!"
