Thoughts before I watched this. 1. What could be more horrifying or thrilling than trying to survive Mother Earth? 2. The cast here is quite well put together. 3. I almost always get a kick out of survival types of movies. 4. This should be much more realistic than Vertical Limit was. 5. In my opinion, Baltasar Kormákur has a rather mixed track-record as a director but this movie sounded really intriguing and, on top of that, they managed to get a impressive cast for this movie.
