When I was about 12 years old, I actually saw this flick at the movie theater when it was released. To be honest, I'm not sure if it was really appropriate or anything for me to watch it at that age but I had a good time and I eventually never forgot it. Maybe not a cinematic masterpiece, but, by god, is it a rollicking good time! So who really cares if the meeting of Meryl Streep, Goldie Hawn and Isabella Rossellini didn’t lead to a classic in the five-star sense of the term? Helen, a writer, and Madeline, an actress, have hated each other for years. Madeline is married to Ernest, who was once Helen's fiance. After she recovers from a mental breakdown, Helen vows revenge by stealing back Ernest and plotting to kill Madeline. "Re-watch - April 10th I watched Death Becomes Her with the kiddo, and we both had a lot of fun with it. She even complimented the effects a few times. I caught some details I didn't notice before this time around, and it's a joy to see Bruce Willis play against his usual type. It's exactly my taste in movies, and I'm glad she dug it."
