" Harry Sears manages The California Dolls, a female wrestling tag team who tour America, hoping for a chance at winning big time. Harry's also romantically involved with one of them. Their fortunes seem osecondary to him (particularly when Harry accepts an engagement involving mud wrestling!) but then a chance at the big ring match beckons, in Reno, Nevada. The film is known outside the US as The California Dolls because "All the Marbles" is an American idiom which is largely unknown in othe"

"AKA: The California Dolls. Peter Falk is at his sleaziest as the manager of The California Dolls, a female wrestling tag-team, who have spent their lives on the brink of making it but never quite get there until an opportunity raises its head. Part road movie, part exploitation flick, this Robert Aldrich directed comedy-drama isn't as good as his other sports movie, The Longest Yard but it has all the usual tough talking you'd expect from an Aldrich film."
