The Pride of the Yankees (1942)
The Luckiest Man in the world. Does anything else need to be said?

The Green Mile (1999)
Probably one of the most depressing endings, as it ends with a man wishing he was dead, but doesn't see the end coming any time soon.

Just one line of dialogue. "This is the film I'll be remembered for."

Memento (2000)
If you've seen this film, you know why the ending is so good. If you haven't, it would be impossible to quickly explain why it's so good, especially without spoiling it.

Psycho (1960)
That final shot of the killer smiling while monolouging in their head is incredibly creepy.
garfield2710's rating:
That final shot of the twelve men who have been interacting and debating throughout the entire film, walk off in various different directions, symbolising that they will never see each other again, is powerful.
garfield2710's rating:
The Usual Suspects (1995)
Yeah, I'm not crazy about the film itself, but the twist ending is brilliant.
garfield2710's rating:
It's one of the funniest endings in film history, as well as one of the most karmically tragic.
garfield2710's rating:
The Birds (1963)
This is probably one of the most unnerving endings in film history, hence why it's so high on the list.
garfield2710's rating:
It's a Wonderful Life (1947) (1946)
Yeah, it's cliche, but anybody who says they weren't touched by the ending is lying.
garfield2710's rating:
The feel-good ending we all wanted, but didn't know how it was going to happen.
garfield2710's rating:
One single shot explains what "Rosebud" is and why it was so meaningful to Kane. Beautiful, and tragic.

This uplifting ending makes the 2 hours of depression totally worth it. This gets my vote as the most powerful, inspirational, and uplifting ending in film history.
