Decade: Rating: List Type:
People who added this item 1524 Average listal rating (990 ratings) 7.4 IMDB Rating 7.7

The Faces - Ohh La La

By the end of this movie, I had to conclusions:
1 - Wes Anderson definitely is one of my favorite directors.
2 - This is one of the greatest songs I've heard in ages.

Star Alchemist's rating:
People who added this item 166 Average listal rating (102 ratings) 7.7 IMDB Rating 7.9

Intro Song
The first scene of Mother is a masterpiece that delivers the whole movie during it's first minutes.

Of course, you have to watch the final scene to understand how the first one really works out.

Brilliant. Just brilliant directing.

Star Alchemist's rating:
People who added this item 5829 Average listal rating (3949 ratings) 7.7 IMDB Rating 8
Donnie Darko (2001)
Echo and the Bunnymen - Killing Moon

This movie has a great soundtrack, like Duran Duran's Notorious or Mad World (unfortunately it's not the Tears for Fears version).

But Killing Moon prepares the mood for the movie very well, and it's a less known song that I only discovered thanks to this pic.

Star Alchemist's rating:

Just because this movie sold me that Tom Hardy is one of the best actors today.

Star Alchemist's rating:
Jefferson Airplane - White Rabbit

Craziest sh*t I've listened in a while, in the weirdest movie I've seen in ages.

And I love it.

PS: Song also featured in Platoon

Star Alchemist's rating:
People who added this item 2282 Average listal rating (1412 ratings) 7.7 IMDB Rating 8
The Graduate (1967)
Simon & Garfunkel - The Sounds Of Silence

I like the beginning of this movie, and it has one of the most brilliant endings. But unfortunately I don't like the middle of it very much.

Anyway, a classic masterpiece music opening and setting the mood for one of the greatest classics of the cinema.

Star Alchemist's rating:
People who added this item 450 Average listal rating (319 ratings) 7.6 IMDB Rating 7.9

Star Alchemist's rating:
People who added this item 342 Average listal rating (203 ratings) 7.1 IMDB Rating 7.3

And that's how you begin and finish a movie. Curious, funny and touching stories, with outstanding performances.

Simple Song.
Star Alchemist's rating:
People who added this item 618 Average listal rating (389 ratings) 7.3 IMDB Rating 7.5

Great song to close a great musical.

Star Alchemist's rating:
People who added this item 1966 Average listal rating (1129 ratings) 7.7 IMDB Rating 8
Dogville (2003)
David Bowie - Young Americans

Powerful ending credits from von Triers' masterpiece. And Bowie's performance is just superb in this song.

Star Alchemist's rating:
Dexys Midnight Runners - Come On Eileen

"Heroes" is one of my favorite songs, but the scene didn't catch me.

But who can resist to Emma Watson saying "OH MY GOD, they are playing good music!" and doing an awesome dance with Ezra Miller? Also, great scene for the movie.

Star Alchemist's rating:
People who added this item 4855 Average listal rating (3310 ratings) 7.2 IMDB Rating 7.4

Star Alchemist's rating:
People who added this item 2949 Average listal rating (1872 ratings) 7.4 IMDB Rating 7.9
Almost Famous (2000)
Elton John - Tiny Dancer

My girlfriend introduced me to this film, and without a doubt, this is the greatest moment of the flick.

Star Alchemist's rating:
People who added this item 1023 Average listal rating (673 ratings) 6.5 IMDB Rating 6.8

Watchmen (2009)
Bob Dylan - Times are a-changin'

I'm a huge fan of Alan Moore's comic Watchmen, but I couldn't enjoy what Zack Snyder tried to do here.

But I can't deny that the intro is a masterpiece, if only he had keep the level for the whole movie.

Tsc.

PS: This was my first contact with a Bob Dylan song, believe it or not.
Star Alchemist's rating:
People who added this item 597 Average listal rating (393 ratings) 7.1 IMDB Rating 7.6
The Hurricane (2000)
Bob Dylan - Hurricane

First I knew the song, and than movie. This was the song that convinced me to listen more of Dylan's work, and the movie that made see how Denzel Washington is a genius actor.

PS: Yeah, there are a lot of copyright issues with this song, god knows why, and it's impossible to find Dylan singing it.
Star Alchemist's rating:
People who added this item 657 Average listal rating (392 ratings) 6.8 IMDB Rating 7.3
Wonder Boys (2000)
Bob Dylan - Things have changed

"C'MON! Him again?"

It's a "feels good" story, but nothing very remarkable. But this is probably the catchiest of Dylan's songs.

Star Alchemist's rating:
The Seatbelts - Gotta Knock A Little Harder

Up to this date, no anime had such soundtrack as Cowboy Bebop did. The movie wasn't a let down and closed the flick with the same quality of the show.

"Are you living in the real World?"
Star Alchemist's rating:
Komm, Sรผsser Tod

Anthony Hamilton & Elayna Boynton - Freedom

Tarantino is the master of movies soundtracks, both previously movies proves this. But this is special, because I can't remember any particular scene so painful and touching like this one.

I didn't need to see the rest of the movie to know that I was watching another one of his masterpieces.

Star Alchemist's rating:
Tenacious D - Kickapoo

I won't lie, I'm a huge fan of Jack Black and this is one of the funniest movies I've seen.

The awkwardest part? I watched this movie in my first date with my girlfriend, glad that she is a fan of Dio and everything worked great.

Star Alchemist's rating:
People who added this item 4334 Average listal rating (2949 ratings) 6.6 IMDB Rating 7.1
School Of Rock - It's a long way to the top (If you wanna Rock n Roll)

The song that gives the name to the film is as great.

Star Alchemist's rating:
People who added this item 2094 Average listal rating (1527 ratings) 7.6 IMDB Rating 8
Norman Greenbaum - Spirit In The Sky

Best song from the best Marvel movie(up to this date). And it fits so perfectly in the trailer, oh yeah.

PS: No footage of the song in the movie.

PS2: Hooked on a feeling is also pretty cool, but Spirit in the Sky is still my favorite.

Star Alchemist's rating:
People who added this item 4191 Average listal rating (2879 ratings) 7.4 IMDB Rating 7.9
Moby - Extreme Ways

Not a big fan of the trilogy, but the best part of the movies was when this song kicked in.

There are some songs that make a really strong impression in me during movies, and always become a must in my playlists.

I decided to list some of them here... they aren't great classic scenes/songs, it's a more personal experience.

There are songs from trailers, ending credits, intros and specific scenes... I hope you enjoy!
