July to August 2019 Tomatometer Predictions

Tomatometer Guess: 88%. High off of "Avengers: Endgame", "Spider-Man: Far From Home" is sure to end Phase 3 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe on a fun and exhilarating note.

Actual Score: 93%. "Spider-Man: Far From Home" is an absolute blast! It has great action, an excellent villain in Jake Gyllenhall's Mysterio, a fun romance story, and ends Phase 3 on a high note while also setting the stage for Phase 4.

Actual Score: 46%.

Tomatometer Guess: 52%. Producer Sam Raimi and director Alexander Aja team up to bring us "Crawl".

Actual Score: 83%. "Crawl" is a simple, but effective horror-thriller that delivers in terms of brutal violence and succeeds by being delightfully tongue-in-cheek.

Tomatometer Guess: 70%.

Actual Score: 53%. Just watch the original.

Tomatometer Guess: 85%. The 9th film by Quentin Tarantino seems to be his most off-the-cuff to date.

Actual Score: 86%. Once Upon a Time in Hollywood is yet another wonderfully directed, sharply written, and amazingly acted film from Quentin Tarantino that goes against many of the tropes the filmmaker is known for with surprisingly effective results.

Actual Score: 81%. Much to my surprise, "Dora and the Lost City of Gold" is a fun, entertaining, and clever take on the property with lots of adventure to boot.

Actual Score: 21%. With a cliche ridden script, hit-and-miss acting, and unlikable characters, "The Kitchen" is a half baked film that could have benefited from more cooks.
