“To be honest, since this movie had been poorly received, I didn’t expect much from it but, since there was a decent cast involved, I thought I might as well have check it out. Well, indeed, it turned out to pretty weak, I’m afraid. I mean, the story actually did sound interesting but the main issue was that their approach didn’t work at all. Above all, the damned thing was just completely tone-deaf. Sure, you could blame the casting of two famous comic actresses (Melissa McCarthy and Tiffany Haddish) but it seems that they never figured out if it should be some light romp or something rather gritty. Basically, every 2 mins, it seemed that either McCarthy or Haddish were going to pop-up some joke but, then, during the next 2 mins, there was someone getting violently killed on screen. ” read more
