Project X (2012)
Although I appreciate some original aspects, this being a teen movie, it was still a dumb movie. I don't think I'll ever understand american highschool mentality.

A Woman Is a Woman (1961)
Well, my first time watching a Goddard movie and I'm very disappointed. Sure, Anna Krina is charming and I guess it all has some kind of charm, but not my kind. I found it annoying, the music was awful and too loud, didn't feel the comedic appeal, maybe it was because I don't speak French but I doubt it. I did get interested in the story but I just lost my nerves half way through and shut it off. I can't give it a lower score because it's not a dumb movie but it just isn't my cup of tea.

Dylan Dog's rating:

So there's a bunch of people and stuff is happening to them, also there's a lot of cheating going on, so that goes on for 3 hours and than there's an earthquake and that's it. Great cast but I guess I just missed the point if there was any. It's not a bad movie as there were moment when I found myself enjoying it but I found it completley useless.

Leaves of Grass (2010)
I like Edward Norton, Susan Sarandon, weed and southern USA, so it made the movie more likeable. There was nothing particulary bad about the movie and there wasn't anything particulary great. There were a few moderately funny moment. All in all, an average movie I kind of liked.

Dylan Dog's rating:

An OK movie for it's genre. I don't see it becoming anyone's favourite but it kept me entertained the whole time.

Dylan Dog's rating:

The Phantom of the Opera (2004)
I watched this half-heartedly while doing some other things so I don't know if I rated it as I should. But anyway there was too much singing, I mean I know it's a musical but I expected some dialogue. Well Emmy Rossum was lovely as always and it pleased me visually.

Dylan Dog's rating:

Woman on Top (2000)
I am definitely not a fan of rom-coms but i really enjoyed this one. Of course it had it's flaws but I didn't mind them that much, it shut off my critical mind and I simply enjoyed a lovely story intertwined with few surreal moments that made the story kind of magical. Also the "funny sidekick girlfriend" being a tranvestite was nice. So anyway, I woudln't call this a great movie but it definitely is enjoyable.

REWATCH
Loving this film as a kid probably had it's influence but also, I laughed, and as that is the main purpose of comedies, I liked it.

Dylan Dog's rating:

Grass (2000)
Interesting subject but I feel it could have been done better. And although I love Woody Harrelson his narration was a bit monotone.

Dylan Dog's rating:

The Dictator (2012)
The sad thing is that Sacha Baron Cohen has a great sense of humour but he tends to waste 70% of his movies on vagina jokes, but somehow that 30% redeems the film for me. Also, Anna Faris seems a little bit less annoying when she's not blonde.

Dylan Dog's rating:

Scott Pilgrim vs. the World (2010)
Well, this was fun, cute and refreshing, too bad Michael Cera was in it. The only unrealistic thing in the movie was that any of those girls would wanna be with him.

Dylan Dog's rating:

I like honest and realistic movies with a child protagonist and this one was no exception. It was a very beautiful film, raw and gentle at the same time, carrying a depressing atmosphere. It felt very real, but it had a couple of boring moments.

Dylan Dog's rating:

The Boys Next Door (1985)
I just bumped in on in this movie randomly on TV and I'm glad I did. I liked the story, liked the characters and the atmosphere. Maybe a little too much 80s music and a few flaws in the script but anyway, I don't see a reason for such a low score on imdb, maybe some people have problem accepting such negative characters as protagonists but i loved it. And damn Charlie Sheen was hot.

Yes, I'm guilty of loving this movie. I've seen it a million times during my life (somehow it's always on tv)and it just puts a smile on my face everytime. I guess i've watched it as a kid, loved it and it stuck to me.

Being There (1980)
Very interesting movie with a very delicate and special humorous atmosphere. I think Chance is a great character and Peter Sellers did a great job. And btw I usually hate movies that have their plot built on a misunderstanding. And for some reason it felt a bit racist at times?

Dylan Dog's rating:

And that's what happens when you give absolute authority to a group of people, also, one of them being a psychopat doesn't help. Great movie, really powerfull. The fact that it's based on a real event is rather disturbing.

Dylan Dog's rating:

Tsotsi (2005)
There were things missing from this movie, can't really say what exactly but the cinematography and the acting performances were wonderful, you could read everything from their faces.

Dylan Dog's rating:

Chasing Amy (1997)
I wanted a lighthearted movie, that's what I got, I loved it, simple as that. Oh, Ben Affleck sucks, Jason Lee does not.

Dylan Dog's rating:

Marley (2012)
If you like Marley it's a great movie, if you don't (I'm not sure I've ever met someone who doesn't), it's still a great documentary because Marley is one of the most iconic people in music and modern day culture. It's too long for my taste though.

Dylan Dog's rating:

There's just something wonderfuly complex about this film and I loved it because of that. Great atmosphere and an interesting plot. Jack Nicholson was great as always, JJ Gittes was an interesting character.

Dylan Dog's rating:

Almost Famous (2000)
I simply felt good watching this film, it had a very nice cast, not the main character though, he was a bit annoying. Great music of course. I was very much into the story, I liked the way it was developing.

Dylan Dog's rating:

I've always heard good things about it and now I see it was with a reason. Entertaining and emotional with great characters delivered by great actors, especially Gary Oldman.

Dylan Dog's rating:

There was something really personal and strange that made me love this movie. It was as if parts of my dreams and nightmares were integrated in this move and there was so much symbolism in it throughout, although I don't know if it was on purpose or I just connected some things that just happened to be that way. Anyway, a great movie with a terrific atmosphere, even though the fight scene near the end was very unnecessary.

Inglourious Basterds (2009)
I have to say, I think most of Tarantino's movies are more intelligent than this one, but still, this was simply 100% pure entertainment and I'm not gonna go much deeper because I loved so many things in it it would go on for too long.

Requiem for a Dream (2000)
REWATCH
It didn't hit me as hard as 4-5 years ago when I first watched it (it drainded the happiness out of me, but felt strangley good), but it's still a great movie in so many ways. I guess I lost some compassion for the junkie couple, but I still have love for Mrs. Goldfarb and Tyrone :D . This time I showed it to my sister and I saw it had the same effect on her as it had on me the first time. Really painful but beautiful film.
+ I actually didn't know what the word requiem means, now that I do, I have to say the title itself is beautiful and really represents the meaning of the film.

Great documentary! A part of it had me really inspired and the rest of it was hillarious or at least very interesting.

The Corporation (2004)
Very, very, very educational, I think everyone should see this documentary. I've always been interested in this subject so I am suprised it took me so long to watch this.

REWATCH
I think I can say this is my favourite movie ever.
The storytelling, dialogue, characters, acting, everything's perfect. It has a wonderful combination of hard emotions and great comedy and that's something I love about movies, because that's life, nothing's black and white. And of course, the best soundtrack ever, beautifully composed into the scenes. The scene with Lou Reed's Perfect Day is perfect. And Spud's look in the end of the movie breaks my heart everytime :( . This is my 4th time watching it and I love it more everytime I see it.
