It's a cult classic for good reason!
Produced in 1994 on a measly $27,000 budget, Clerks. was the feature film debut for Kevin Smith, and it proved to be his ticket into the industry. Smith reportedly financed the flick himself, selling off his comic book collection, maxing out his credit cards and borrowing money from his parents to produce this foul-mouthed, witty and extrem... read more

" Collectively, I am counting all of the films including the Clerks films, in this series. Created by: Kevin Smith Number of films: Nine Years in activity: 1994 - present. Best in series: Clerks, Mallrats, Dogma, and Chasing Amy. Worst in series: Itโs one of the rare occasions, where there wasnโt a worst in the series. Just okay films. "FORMAT: 35mm PRINT QUALITY: โ โ โ ยฝ NOTES: Preceded by separate, pre-recorded introductions by Brian O'Halloran and Kevin Smith. A scratchy print with some messy changeovers that added just a hint of colour to all the grayscale. But so what? This was my first indoor cinema trip since London was plunged into Tier 3. Itโs just too good to be back. DATE: May 17th 2021 CINEMA: The Prince Charles Cinema LOCATION: West End"

"This is the movie that ushered me from childhood into my teenage years. Even then it looked amateurish as all hell but it was all about these characters that resounded with me and those in my social circle. It was a movie that spoke to a specific brood of people in such a resonating way that it transcended its negative aspects. Though, it's aged terribly compared to the rest of these films, it's still downright hilarious and it takes me back. "
