Fast paced, a chilling performance by Gary Oldman, and amazing action sequences, make this action film not one to miss.

Amistad (1997)
An emotional roller-coaster with fascinating characters and a careful direction by Spielberg.
garfield2710's rating:
Men in Black (1997)
This could be seen as the pinnacle Sci-Fi comedy; bizarre, occasionally hilarious and action packed.
garfield2710's rating:
This is dark comedy at it's finest. A brilliant mashing of Tom & Jerry and Laurel & Hardy.
garfield2710's rating:
Liar Liar (1997)
This is one of the funniest comedies I've ever seen. Period. Jim Carrey at his best.
garfield2710's rating:
This is a very well made and smart courtroom drama with tense sequences and some inspired twists and turns.
garfield2710's rating:
The Borrowers (1997)
This is one of the most entertaining family films I've seen. It's creative and visually stunning.
garfield2710's rating:
Cats Don't Dance (1997)
The film has some great animation, memorable characters and really fun songs. The plot is really creative. It's just a fun movie.
garfield2710's rating:
Anastasia (1997)
It's inventive, entertaining and the characters are more developed than your typical kid fare.
garfield2710's rating:
Scream 2 (1997)
It may not be as clever as the first film, but it's just as much fun.
garfield2710's rating:
Home Alone 3 (1997)
Shockingly, I found this film to be more entertaining than the second and almost as good as the original, if for no other reason that it made me laugh the hardest out of all 3.
garfield2710's rating:
Conspiracy Theory (1997)
Sometimes confusing, but the action is good, the plot is interesting and the characters don't feel like stereotypes.
garfield2710's rating:
This is either a film you like or hate because it only has one joke. But oddly enough, I think the joke goes through enough variations to keep it fresh.
garfield2710's rating:
George of the Jungle (1997)
Unfunny and immature, this film just doesn't deliver.
garfield2710's rating:
There are huge gaping plot holes and this film lacks the magic of the original, but it is very entertaining to watch dinosaurs rip people to shreds.
garfield2710's rating:
There's nothing original here, and it is cliched in parts, but there are some funny scenes, and even some charm in it that make it a good date movie.
garfield2710's rating:
Hercules (1997)
This is not Greek mythology. It's funny, mostly thanks to James Wood's performance as Hades, but it's a generic story and like I said, doesn't give justice to the Greek myths.
garfield2710's rating:
A Simple Wish (1997)
It's not really a good film, but it is creative and surprisingly charming.
garfield2710's rating:
Metro (1997)
Though it has some good action scenes, and one of Eddie Murphy's better performances, the film suffers due to its over bloated length. Worth watching if you're a Murphy fan, or a fan of cop films.
garfield2710's rating:
Speed 2: Cruise Control (1997)
Surprisingly dull, but the performance of the antagonist make this film worth sitting through at least once.
garfield2710's rating:
Air Bud (1997)
A very dull film with ridiculous plot developments and a climax with little tension.
garfield2710's rating:
Anaconda (1997)
This film is garbage, plain and simple. The animatronics and CGI are abysmal, the acting is stilted, the story is so thin they're really stretching it, even at 90 minutes, and is rife with scientific inaccuracies (i.e., Anacondas do not move that fast, especially after eating something) that might've been ignored if they didn't stretch credibility so far. Still, there's some camp and gleefully awful moments, as well as some over-the-top moments by Jon Voight that almost make it worth sitting through this train wreck.
garfield2710's rating:
Gone Fishin' (1997)
The characters are obnoxious and stupid, and the climax is silly.
garfield2710's rating:
Jungle 2 Jungle (1997)
Very unfunny and uses tons of 90's cliches that were old even then.
garfield2710's rating:
Batman & Robin (1997)
A campy superhero film, but for all the wrong reasons. Terrible dialogue, effects and sets, make for a film really lacking confidence.
garfield2710's rating:
Buddy (1997)
The only thing I can remember thinking while watching this film is "Whaaaaaaat?"
garfield2710's rating:
This is an incredibly boring movie, with little intelligence or thought.
