Robinson gives a first rate performance in the film which was made the same year that he starred in Billy Wilder's "Double Indemnity" (1944). To have two great parts such as these in the same year was a remarkable achievement but Robinson was a talented actor and played... read more

Here’s a film with a dream-like look that’s really more like machinery greasing for Scarlet Street. Nothing in The Woman in the Window is bad, really, but the ending is a cheat and nullifies everything that had gone before it. This bait-and-switch ending also leaves the film, stylistically noir in all the right places even if it never wears these tropes too comfortably, on a jokey final note. ... read more

"Langia vittumaisimmillaan. En ole ikinä ollut Eddie G:n suurinkaan fani, mutta Dong Wang hoitaa homman kotiin. Täysin turhaa myös todeta, että Langin kuvat eivät pettäneet tälläkään kertaa."
