Honestly, I wasn’t expecting much from this flick since I have a weak spot for Tom Hanks, I thought I might as well check it out. Basically, it was one of those typical Tom Hanks comedies he used to make at the beginning of his career, the kind of movies he used to make before showing up ‘Philadelphia’ and before becoming a famous dramatic actor. " It's a little unclear what this movie wanted to be, which is maybe why it's lower in the ratings. With that said it's not all that bad, with odes to classics like "Bridge on the River Kwai" and "Lawrence of Arabia". Hanks plays the role well, like he always does."
