"DECEMBER 6: I love the family dynamics shown in this movie. I think my favorite part wasn't actually part of the movie; it was the soul train line before the end credits. I particularly enjoyed how Delroy Lindo seemed to come to the rescue of quite a few of the characters, which endeared him to the family all the more. Ma'Dere was my favorite character. I loved how she could be blissfully ignorant of some things, but all-knowing with others. And her sense of humor is just awesome!"
