It is hard to admit when a sequel surpasses the original, but as bad as the first was, I guess it is not that hard to believe. I think the introduction of the cruel and sexy principle Newman did it for me. And although spirit of holiday romance is one not likely to be overlooked, those damned little elves/children sure did know how to spoil the romantic fever.

To this day, 1994's The Santa Clause remains a pleasant, sweet family Christmas film and a holiday favourite which is held by some in the same league as A Christmas Story and Miracle on 34th Street. I love this film. It is just an all around fun film. Tim Allen is hilarious in "Santa Clause 2". I can not think of any flaws, in this film. This is one of my all-time favorite Christmas films.

Scott Calvin has been Santa Claus for the past eight years, but there's an obscure clause in his contract requiring him to take on a wife. He has to leave the North Pole to fulfill his obligations, or else he'll be forced to give up his Yuletide gig. He also receives problems when he finds out his son Charlie is on the naughty list.
