A difficult case
+ the cinematography and pacing, a very "mature" direction from mr. Fulci
+ great actress
- too much stagnation and dull dialogue
- boring plot, although it could have been very intriguing
- the gore overrated, "first time uncut in America", duh...

In doing that though, it's easily his dullest movie. It starts out well enough in the first 20 mins or so but then gets very very boring. The characters and plot are completely uninteresting. "A film damn near saved by the last 40 minutes. This is Lucio Fulci. We get a gory suicide in the opening minutes. Then it takes an hour and seven minutes until the next murder. This isn't necessarily a flaw, but rather a way of seeing that he tried to do something different, more serious, with this film. Indeed that's what it is, sort of.
