(OK) The first part is everything tender in feeling for the character and brave in statement, about war. Fantastic inmersion in cheese and water, a frog over the barefoot of a solider is poetic. Then, the heroics and the ruined dignified house is wonderful.

In some of Chaplin's most memorable scenes the main character uses a limburger cheese as a weapon and disguises himself as a tree while fighting against enemy soldiers. The film combines some surrealistic elements with military satire in a very innovative way. Chaplin certainl"
