"Son, when you get shot out there, you think it hurts like hell. But when you don't feel anything, it's when you're not going to make it. And Nicole, it doesn't hurt at all."

THIS WAS THE UNRATED VERSION?! One word: disappointing. It would have been a nice film, but it became boring and slow as the minutes ticked by. I thought I was set for a horrifying time, but I was wrong. Nicole... read more

In Texas, the aspirant actress Nicole Carrow runs away home to Los Angeles with her boyfriend Jess Hilts. They drive through a shortcut in an old road, and when they park in a rest stop, Jess is abducted by the sadistic driver of an old yellow truck. I decided to go ahead and check this two part series as I was curious. Besides it has Jaimie Alexander which is always a plus. It looks like this is John Shiban's only directorial film as he mostly sticks with television like Supernatural and Breaking Bad. So the opening was interesting and actually kind of creepy. Good on you Jaimie Alexander. That has to be really messed up to be toyed with like... read more

TDcore's Horror Journal 2019: January (19 movies items)

" This was the first film released by the short-lived "Raw Feed Films", and one of their more well known, though not especially well-received. I put off giving it a chance for some time, despite having a weak spot for these "road horror/thrillers", seeing as I heard mostly awful things about it. But in the end, I was much more impressed than I thought I would be. This is not a fantastic film, but as far as gritty, modern horror goes, it's a nice little ride. There's gore for the gorehounds, some"

Good on you Jaimie Alexander. That has to be really messed up to be toyed with like that. Well that's disturbing. Okay this is a slow burner, but they do a good job with the creep factor. That ending was interesting. There is even a little extra scene during the credits that makes you wonder. This is way different than I was expecting in a good way! I hope the sequel explains a little more what exactly the whole lore is though. Joseph Lawrence as Deacon was awesome. There wasn't” read more
