I wanted to check this movie for many years and I’m rather surprised that it took me so long to get my hands on it. Anyway, fortunately, I wasn’t disappointed. Wildly entertaining wouldn’t be the first words that pop into my mind concerning a film about the Marquis de Sade. Disturbed, borderline pornographic, nihilistic, hedonism, and anarchy – these words seem to fit de Sade much better.
